About the event

A day filled with playful exploration in nature. Spending time in wide open spaces, the kids will be hands on making, gathering and learning

The day will be 3 hours, and filled with playful exploration in nature. Spending time in wide open spaces, the kids will be hands on making, building, gathering, and learning.

Aimed at ages 7-12!

The day will be filled with:

Making Friends! Together in our 'fairy circle', we will all join for group games and introductions to make sure every child feels safe and relaxed in the group.

Nature Exploration! A huge part of the day is being immersed in nature, so come rain or shine we will be outside! Introducing children to a deep knowledge of the wild world is so powerful. Looking under rocks to find creepy crawlies, sitting amongst the long grass to look for butterflies, at Wild Ivy kids days we are all explorers!

Hands on! Using what we have foraged or found we will be getting stuck into a seasonal crafting activity! Each child will come home with a nature treasure they have made, which could be; Bug Hotels, Natures Bird Feeders, Flower Collage, Dream Catchers, or even a Wild chandelier!

Veggie Vitality! We will provide a healthy yummy snack lunch for each child. This will include delicious seasonal food, some of which the children will themselves dig up from our veggie garden! We will planting some edible seeds for them to take home. This is such a brilliant way to get children excited about healthy food, and expand their understanding of where our food comes from and even get excited about growing their own!
