About the event
November Half Day Retreat – Earth’s Wisdom
Experienced chef and country deweller Caroline Marson will be sharing her culinary tips, recipes and knowledge about healing mushrooms, foraged natural seasonal leaves, berries, herbs, vegetables, fruits seeds and nuts. We will learn how eating certain simple foods gives us the potential to connect our bodies to the earth so we function with more ease.
We will be mindfully taking our time creating a variety of delicious, seasonal foods that have been foraged or grown in our cottage garden. Acknowledging the journey food takes to arrive at our plates. It’s all in the journey and cycle of country life. Not always the fastest route to an outcome. This will be an immersive morning of winter walks, foraging, light cooking and simple nourishment the old fashioned way along with a deep dive with our beautiful meditation.
Rosie will be connecting us to the mother tree and how trees and nature look out for each other and communicate with older wiser family members. Do we value our experienced teachers of life or value our younger more aesthetically beautiful youth. Both are invaluable to each other. As trees will tell you.
The day will conclude as we began in our nature circle.
Where we are...
Set in a quintessential English village and grounds of the 14th St Mary’s Church in Puttenham. Wild Ivy Retreats is surrounded by peace and quiet. The stillness of nature soothes and takes us away from our everyday demands. However, amazingly we not too far from the urban sprawl and are just a 50-minute train ride from London, Euston.
What to expect
Our nature bathing retreat days have been created for people who are wanting to honour and notice the seasons, learn about wild edible foraging foods and to connect, release and spend a day relaxing and rejuvinating.
Our guests are given the opportunity to disconnect from their busy external world, from social networks, and completely immerse themselves amongst a healing, un-judgemental environment. Providing a mindfulness day that nurtures from the inside out, educates and informs. It's a fun day of discovery with our shoes off.
